Come celebrate the success of the historic Ka Iwi Mauka community conservation with the launching of Ka Iwi Explorations 2018. You will be able to explore the property on a guided hike, discover the natural and cultural resources of the area, and learn about plans for the future.
As these are guided hikes, we ask that you SIGN UP for a date and time to join us on a hike by clicking the button or call 524-7020 by July 14th.
Hikers should meet at Kalama Valley Shopping Center at the Ka Iwi Pop Up Educational Center (right of Crossfit Hawaii Kai). The pop up center is open to EVERYONE beginning July 24 - so if hiking is not your thing, join us for a virtual tour of the Ka Iwi Mauka lands, cultural information, and more!
Mahalo to a small (but mighty) group of residents who came together 40 years ago to advocate for the protection of the entire Ka Iwi coastline.  Livable Hawaii Kai Hui is honored to have worked under their guidance since 2004 and alongside countless volunteers.  We are appreciative of our partnership with The Trust for Public Land and welcome them along with Hui Nalu Canoe Club, Sierra Club O‘ahu Group and Kamehameha Schools to the Ka Iwi Coalition 'ohana.

We invite your support.  In the coming year, we plan to clear trails, complete a cultural inventory, and continue organizing public access opportunities. We ask that you support us in these efforts and click on the button below to make a gift.
