Hike – Explore!
The Ka Iwi Coalition celebrated the Ka Iwi Mauka community conservation success by launching Ka Iwi Explorations. The event featured guided hikes to learn about the natural and cultural resources of the area and plans for the future.

Participants explored the Ka Iwi Mauka lands on a guided hike, discovering the natural and cultural resources of the area as they stopped along the way to listen to local experts who shared their knowledge.
Thank you for your participation.
Mahalo to a small (but mighty) group of residents who came together 40 years ago to advocate for the protection of the entire Ka Iwi coastline.  Livable Hawaii Kai Hui is honored to have worked under their guidance since 2004 and alongside countless volunteers.  We are appreciative of our partnership with The Trust for Public Land and welcome them along with Hui Nalu Canoe Club, Sierra Club O‘ahu Group, Hawai'i State Parks and Kamehameha Schools to the Ka Iwi Coalition 'ohana.

We invite your support.  In the coming year, we plan to clear trails, complete a cultural inventory, and continue organizing public access opportunities. We ask that you support us in these efforts and click on the button below to make a gift.

Donations and the purchase of Ka Iwi merchandise supports our Explorations annual program.
